Solar Fountain Outdoor Exhibition
Exploratorium Museum, San Francisco, CA
Partnership with UC Davis Office of Research & Exploratorium Museum
Project Team: Beth Ferguson, Jill Fantauzza, Erik Thogersen

The Solar Fountain is a permanent outdoor exhibition at the Exploratorium Museum that demonstrates how solar energy works. A water pump connected to the Bay is powered by a 60 watt solar panel that can be tilted, raised and lowered by curious people. The angle of the solar panel impacts the quantity of water that shoots back into the Bay. Fun for all ages!
