The MacArthur Mobility Hub will create a sense of cohesiveness at it's main plaza, in order to welcome and connect a diversity of travelers to a variety of active transit options (walking, biking, micromobility, public transit) available at this anchor site. The MacArthur Station is an important BART transfer point in North Oakland near the heart of the Temescal district. We propose enhancing this hub with wayfinding, transit information, solar e-scooter charging, and universal design improvements. Mobility Hubs have the potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by highlighting low carbon transit options and encouraging alternatives to private vehicles.
